A Day in the Country

We went to my Uncle Jimmy's place last Sunday. He owns a gorgeous piece of property surrounding a small lake, which is just perfect for fishing, swimming (if you don't mind snakes) and tooling around in the paddle boat (which I prefer, due to my adversion to snakes, and well, reptiles in general). We love to go out there. Its just so darn peaceful. And even though we don't live in a dirty city, the air out there just seems to be fresher.

Addie had a blast running around all day in the sunshine and fresh air. The girl only has one speed, and that's full throttle. As soon as we arrived, she took off down the hill towards her Nana and Papaw, who were coming up from the lake. I turned to Kris and said, "watch - she's going to eat it before she gets down the hill." And sure enough, within 20 yards, she tripped over her own feet and did a face plant into the dirt. Didn't phase her a bit. She got right back up and ran full tilt into Nana's arms. Looks like the girl has inherited my gracefulness...
