Summertime Fun

It's 100 degrees outside, but you've been cooped up in the house for two weeks.

So, what do you do?

Well, you slaver the kids with copious amounts of sunscreen, pack snacks, juice and LOTS of water. You bring extra clothes, shoes, diapers, wipes and pacies. You remember the kids' hats, sunglasses and even a cute little barrette for the baby's hair. You load all of this into the car, along with the kids, the stroller and, of course, the camera. You drive straight to the nearest splash park for a few hours of fun in the sun.

You watch the kids splashing in the cool, refreshing water, smiling as you notice your youngest try time after time to catch and hold the water stream. You laugh as you drag your oldest under the fountain of cascading water, knowing full well that she will run away screaming as soon as you let her hand go... Photobucket
You break for snacks, juice and a bit of much needed shade. Although your oldest wants to hit the slides, the playground equipment is just too hot to touch. So, you take silly pictures with Dad, instead.

All in all, a pretty good day. With one minor exception...

You, of course, forget to put sunscreen on YOURSELF and turn into the reddest white girl in town!

Typical.
