I can't believe Alex is already a week old. In that week, Alex has learned to eat (Hallelujah), she sleeps pretty well (well, she sleeps all the time) and she's had her first bath (which, of course, she didn't enjoy very much). She spent lots of time with her Nana (thanks, Nana) and she had visits from her "uncle" Jimmy, aunt Niki and cousin Taryn. She also became best buds with her big sister, Addison. To be more accurate, Addie has really taken to Alex. She loves to hold her baby sister and give her lots of hugs and kisses. Addie also looks out for her little sister. When Taryn (who is only 18 months old) was being a just little rough with Alex, Addie politely told him, "No, Taryn. Be gentle."
Alex is a beautiful child who fusses only when she is hungry (so far) or wants her paci (the use of which I am really trying to limit). In fact, the only problem we've had so far is that she dropped a little too much weight the first few days (11 oz is a lot for her teeny, tiny, little body). We had a few extra doctor visits and weight checks, and by the last one, her weight started trending up from a low of 6lbs 1oz (yeah, she's scrawny, but I intend to fix that). Here's a few pictures of Alex's first week.

Jen, she is beautiful. Congrats, we can't wait to meet her, be sure to look us up when you make it the woods. Addie is such a cutie pie, she is so sweet with her little sis.
WOW, she is so awesome! It is amazing how both girls look identical in their pics. Jen, you are looking great. I love all your pics, the one of you holding her just after delivery made me tear up. I try to get Lilly to take a paci, but she only wants me...it is exhausting!
awww! How beautiful! And how sweet about Addie!! MAN YOU ARE LUCKY! T was really rough w/ P at first but now (most of the time...) he is much gentler. You are so on the ball posting pics @ 1 week!!! xoxo
